This Christmas season I saw this recipe on the create channel.
They were a hit at work.
My husband says it tastes like cereal.
1 egg white, lightly beaten
1 tablespoon water
3 cups pecan halves
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1-Preheat oven to 350 degrees F . Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
2-In a small bowl beat the egg white with the water. Stir in the pecans, mixing until well moistened.
3-In a another small bowl, mix together sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Sprinkle over the moistened nuts. Spread nuts on prepared pan.
4-Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, stirring once or twice. Be careful not to overcook and burn the nuts.

Time to start 2009.
The last night of 2008 was a very quiet night. Hubby was asleep next to me on the sofa at 10:45 (He says 10:30). He woke up just in time for the count down. What an old man I have.
As was sending 'Happy New Year' comments to my friends on myspace, I thought to myself... What fun things do I have to look forward to in 2009. I had to think really, really hard about that. I didn't have an answer for myself. All I could think about was the daily grind and kids doctor appointments. BOOO!
Yesterday, I posted my resolutions. Today, I am going to post my list of fun and exciting things to look forward to in 2009.
1- Tons of Birthdays. This month my sister turns the big 30. My best friend turns 37 (Roxy you turn 37 THIS year). My kids turn 8, 3, &1. My sisters kids turn 9,7,& 5. Most importantly, my 29th birthday.
2-May 7th. My husband will be done with his Marine Corp training.
3-As always, SUMMER VACATION!
4-Starting College again. As of January 7th, I will be a student of Kaplan University Online.
5-Water Parks with the Family.
That's all I could think of right now. What fun things are you looking forward to in the 09?
