Six Flags

This week we took Big Bea and D-man  to Six Flags. It was the first time that D-man and Aston had gone. We had a great time. I got a cool tan, only because I forgot the sun block.

We were able to make this is trip thanks to my sister. We did a kid swap. I got D-man and she had Big Al.

I can't wait to go again.

This Mom's Mom.

I can't imagine having two kids a year and a half apart from each other. My sister (in the blue dress) is only a year and a half older then me. Any sooner I could have been born the same year as my sister.

My children are five years apart. My sister children are all 2 years apart . That would make my mom, a grandmother of FIVE.

My sister has something close to what our mother has. Darn I messed the pattern up. I didn't have kids in 2003 or 2005 No thanks!

I do have thoughts of having another, but I am not sure. I don't want to wait another 5 years. I also don't think we are ready for another .

Back to the subject, my mom.
My mom (Nancy, 1958) married my dad (Miguel, 1954) in 1978. We lived in Brooklyn until 1985. We moved to the Bronx. My mom was a parent volunteer, PTA president and paraprofessional at the school that I attended for elementary and currently work at.
Dec. 2000 Mom and Dad Divorced.
Dad moved to P.R and moved back in 2001.
In 2002, Mom moved to Florida. I feel that she moved for reasons that weren't strong enough to move anyone to the south. But, she did. I don't talk to her much and I see her even less. I wish things weren't like that. I don't wish to undo the divorced, I think they needed to be divorced sooner. I wish that she didn't move so far from the family that she created.

Big Bea Bob

I think this is my favorite picture that Big Bea ever made for me. It's Sponge Bob and the gang. I watch her draw it masterpiece from memory. She worked hard to get the colors right. This scanned copy does the picture no justice.

Coney Island

Yesterday was a perfect day to go to the beach. The high temp for yesterday was only 75. Perfect temp for baby's first time at the beach. The day was full of sandy cheeks and sand tasting. On the ride back home all the kids were out cold but Big Al was going strong. He was so excited he didnt want to miss a second.
